SPS: This soft (durometer) compound offers
improved chunk and tear resistance along with dramatically
increased traction. Yesterday’s soft polyurethane
compounds achieved lower durometers at the expense of
increased rolling resistance. SPS
cushions operators, equipment and loads from shocks
and vibrations while its resilient chemical backbone
works to extend battery life. SPS is also ideally suited
for loading docks, rough floors and harsh freezer applications
where traction is most needed.
Hyload:
Hyload
compound withstands the abuse of high speeds,
long runs, and heavy loads that cause other tires and
wheels to fail. This highly linear compound is formulated
to resist *heat build
up so wheels run cool in even the most
demanding applications. Hyload resists flat spotting
and can carry more weight than standard urethanes.
This compound offers the highest chunk and tear resistance
and extends the battery life by lowering ampere draw.
Hyload is site proven to run longer and reduce maintenance
costs by increasing productivity in extreme applications.

MEGALOAD:
The megaload compound
was engineered for amusement park applications. In a
test track designed to measure resistance to heat
build up under extreme conditions, megaload polyurethane
wheels completed 18 laps compared to only 6 laps for
standard compound wheels, and 14 laps for the Hyload
wheels. We consider this to be the ultimate solution
and the equivalent to our Vulkollan compound, without
the high price and long cure time.
Vulkollan:
Vulkollan is a premium elastomer based on napthalene
-1.5, diisocyanate (Desmodur © 15) and was developed
in the 1950’s. With its unrivaled property profile,
Vulkollan
plays an integral part in modern technology. Vulkollan
is one of the most outstanding and best known engineered
elastomers.
Quantum: The quantum
compound is our proprietary thermoset polyurethane
formulated to maximize performance in caster wheel
applications. Quantum employs a high cross-link
density polymer that yields a longer lasting, easier
rolling wheel. Quantum wheels are non marking and non
abrasive on a wide variety of floors. They are more
durable than conventional polymers and will not crack
like injection-molded wheels. Not recommended for use
on electric jacks.

What's the right compound for me? |
Durometer:
Durometer is
the international standard for measuring the hardness
of rubber, foam rubber, plastic and polyurethane,
and most nonmetallic materials. Foam rubbers are
usually measured on the Shore 00 scale, solid rubbers
on the Shore A scale, and harder urethanes and plastics
on the Shore D scale. One object may fall within
more than one scale – for example a typical
shoe heels is 95 Shore 00, 70 Shore A, and 22 Shore
D. |
